Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect what’s needed to run the app: your account info, details about your RV, and your maintenance history. We use this to give you a personalized maintenance plan. We don’t sell your data. We don’t collect your location. We use a small number of trusted third-party services to make the app work.

What we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password. We use Supabase for authentication and never see your raw password ourselves.
RV information
You tell us about your RV: year, brand, model, and type. We use those details to research your rig and identify the components it was likely built with. Those component details, along with any you enter or change yourself, stay tied to your account and are used to build your personalized maintenance plan.
Maintenance data
As you use the app, we store information about your maintenance tasks: when they were completed, your custom intervals, your notes, and your service log entries. If you have a motorhome or generator, we may also store mileage or hours readings you enter.
Things you describe yourself
If you add a custom component, you type a description of it and we use that description to research the maintenance it needs. Whatever you type is sent to our research provider along with your RV’s year, brand, and type. Nothing identifying you is sent with it. People sometimes describe equipment beyond the RV itself, such as a tow vehicle or gear they travel with, so please keep in mind that whatever you type is transmitted.
Feedback submissions
If you submit feedback, we collect your message, your stated experience or credentials if provided, and the task you’re commenting on. Your account email is included so we can follow up if needed.
Usage information
We collect information about how the app is used: which steps of setup you complete, whether a plan generates successfully, and whether a purchase is started or completed. This is tied to your account so we can understand where people get stuck. We do not collect your location, and we do not record your screen or your taps within the app.
Diagnostic information
If the app crashes or hits an error, we collect a crash report. This includes the error itself, your device model and operating system version, the app version, and a record of recent network requests and which on-screen element you last touched. It does not include your name, email, or IP address, and it is only sent when something goes wrong.
Subscription status
If you upgrade to Pro, we store your subscription status. Payment processing happens through Apple’s App Store or Google’s Play Store, and we never see your payment information directly.
What we don’t collect
We don’t collect your location. We don’t record your screen or your activity within the app. We don’t access your contacts or calendar. We only access photos you choose to add. We don’t collect device identifiers for advertising, we don’t show ads, and we don’t sell your data.
How we use your information
To provide the service
Your RV details and maintenance data are what make the app work. We use them to schedule tasks, send reminders, and personalize content for your specific rig.
To improve the app
We look at how the app is used to find where people get stuck, and we review crash reports to fix problems. When you submit feedback, we review it against manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
To send you notifications
If you’ve opted in, we send maintenance reminders. These are scheduled on your device rather than sent from our servers.
To support you
If you contact us, we use your account information to respond.
Third-party services we use
Hosts our database and handles authentication. Your account, RV data, and maintenance history live in Supabase.
Performs research. When you add your RV, we send its year, brand, model, and type so we can identify the components it was likely built with and build your plan. We send those same details, along with the component type, when a component is added or changed later. When you add a custom component, we also send the description you typed. We don’t send your name, email, or account identifier.
Collects the usage information described above, tied to your account identifier.
Collects crash and error reports.
Manages subscription status across platforms.
Delivers the notification email we send ourselves when you submit feedback. Your feedback content and email are included.
Delivers app updates. Expo receives your platform, app version, and an installation identifier each time the app checks for an update.
Handle subscription billing and payment processing under their own privacy policies.
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We chose them because they have strong privacy practices, but we encourage you to review their policies if you want to know more.
Your rights
Access your data
Email us at support@rvkeeper.app and we’ll send you a copy of your data.
Delete your account
You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app. Open the menu at the top right, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. Deletion is immediate. If you no longer have access to the app, email us at support@rvkeeper.app and we’ll process the request within 30 days. Some information may persist in backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted.
Correct your information
You can update your RV details and maintenance data anytime through the app’s edit screens. For account information, email us.
Opt out of notifications
You can turn off notifications in the app’s settings or in your device settings.
Cancel your subscription
Subscription cancellation happens through the App Store or Play Store, depending on where you subscribed.
Children’s privacy
RVKeeper is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, email support@rvkeeper.app and we’ll delete it.
Data security
We use industry-standard security practices. All data is encrypted in transit. Supabase encrypts data at rest. Authentication tokens are hashed. We don’t store payment information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
International users
RVKeeper is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and stored in the US. By using RVKeeper, you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we’ll notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The last updated date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
